Key Responsibilities:

- Lab Maintenance & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and functional lab environment. This involves regular cleaning of equipment, managing inventory of computer peripherals (mice, keyboards, etc.), and ensuring the overall tidiness of the workspace.
- Equipment Setup & Maintenance: Assist with the setup and configuration of computer workstations, ensuring proper functionality and connectivity. This may involve installing software, configuring network settings, and performing routine hardware maintenance tasks.
- Software & Hardware Support: Provide support for various software applications used within the lab. This could include assisting users with installing updates, troubleshooting application errors, or providing basic training on software usage.
- User Assistance & Training: Guide and assist users in utilizing lab resources effectively. This may include providing basic training on computer usage, software applications, or lab policies.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of lab equipment, software licenses, and consumables. This involves tracking assets, reporting on damages or malfunctions, and ordering replacement parts or supplies as needed.
- Security & Access Control: Help enforce lab security policies and procedures, ensuring proper user access and data protection. This could involve monitoring user activity, managing access controls, and reporting any security breaches.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of technical issues, support requests, and lab maintenance activities. Prepare regular reports on lab usage, equipment status, and any other relevant information.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, information technology) is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience providing technical support or working in a computer lab environment is highly desirable. Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), troubleshooting network connectivity, and resolving common software problems. Familiarity with common office software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) is essential.
